Simultaneous with the thirteenth annual Good Will Congress of the World Allieance for International Friendship Through the Churches held in New York, November 11 and 13, to promte an international peace campaign. Colonel Edward M. House, world statesman, made public the principle embodied in a peace plan submitted to the League of Nations and of which he is the first sponsor. This plan, placed before the League of Nations two weeks ago by General Fritz Holm of Copenhagen, would make it an unwritten law that those responsivle for declaring war should be compelled to serve with the fighting forces.
The Holm Plan really originatede in Iceland with an Icelandic scholar, Dr. Finnbogason and when debated in Denmark and Germany this year it was called "The Icelandic Proposition." Dr. Finnbogason lectured on war prevention before the Peace Society of Copenhagen and discussions on it have been going on in Danish newspapers. If anything ever comes of it it must not be forgotten that the idea originatede in a book from the hand of a man of peace and not in the councils of rulers or magnates or warriors who should know best what war means.
The selection of Colonel House to sponsor the Holm Plan in the United States is most fitting considering that he was confidential adviser to President Wilson and probably knows mor of the real history of the World War than any other living American. As unofficial representative of President Wilson he was in Europe just before war broke out in 1914, trying to lay the basis for a general international peace agreement. Up to the time the United States went into the war, Colonel House conferred in intimacy and confidence with European kings and prime ministers proposing peace plans and trying to find some way bywhich the war might be stopped. Colonel House now says that for years he has been in favour of the principle in the Holm plan by which those voting for war would be sent into danger. Although he favours an unwritten law, the plan before the League of Nations calls for a model law to be adopted by every nation as national legislation.

カイセー「また日本に帰ってからやろうと思ってるんですよ」
ドイツ古参の某日本人「帰られる時まで日本があるか心配ですねぇ。私はこの間帰国したとき測定機器を買ったんですがそれで近所の線量を実際に測ってみました。あなたは周りの人とそういうは話をしますか？」
最近ドイツに来た別の某日本人「そんなこといちいち気にしてたら生活できないです」
なんという小賢しい他人事ぶり…なんという魯鈍な思考停止…もういっそのことその場で面罵してしまえばよかったのだろうかと後からのろのろとした怒りがこみ上げてきた。なんということもない普通の会話で、普通の語調だったのだが、ドイツに来てから最も不快なひとときだったよ。

ゆっくりミヒェル
ゆっくりミヒェル
ビーダーマイヤー時代の小市民を戯画化したドイッチェミヒェルをゆっくり化。いつの時代にもいる「意識の高い（笑）」人たちが、当時の政治的意識の低いドイツ人を、飲んだくれて居眠りするどん百姓と嘲って象徴化した姿。だから元々は悪いイメージなんだけど、現代において人生を楽しむ姿として蘇ってもいいかなと思って描きました。

ホロコーストを実行した時代のその国と日本が同盟国だったことの意味を知らず、憲法に定められてその名の下に違法/残虐行為が行われた責任者が戦後も謝罪反省一切なくその地位にあったことを知らず、極度の自民族中心主義を知らずに、首相が犠牲者記念碑に跪いた国の論壇誌の言論を封殺するのも自由。

この原稿が終わったら国に帰って結婚するし体が軽くてこんな気持ちで書くのは初めてなのでもう何も怖くないし、こんな殺人鬼がいるかもしれないところにおまえらとは一緒にいられないので部屋に戻らせてもらうしここは俺に任せて先に行ってほしい。大丈夫だ、問題ない。

そなたを成せり。
いずこか、そなたの生くるところ、それ
弥生に刻む爪痕の花咲かすところ、
十月の雷鳴轟きて優しく香るところ。呼ばわれ！
我そなたを訪わん、
示せいづこへ訪うべきか、
我ら互いに問わんがため
そして愛しあわんがため、
恐れを知らぬ喜びよ、
そして善なるものよ？ー
いずこにもあらざるは善なるもの！
